Scotland hold England to drab draw
Lyndon Dykes denied by Reece James goal-line clearance as Scots earn point at Wembley
John Stones avoids conceding penalty after handball check
England were held to a 0-0 draw by Scotland at Wembley on Friday as their wait to secure a place in the last 16 of Euro 2020 continues.
The Three Lions dominated possession throughout but were unable to find a breakthrough against a well-organised Scotland side.
Lyndon Dykes came closest to breaking the deadlock in the second half when he headed past Jordan Pickford, but Reece James cleared off the line.
John Stones was also fortunate not to concede a penalty after a VAR check for handball, while Mason Mount hit the crossbar with a late free-kick.
The result means England will have to avoid defeat against the Czech Republic in their final Group D game on Tuesday to guarantee a place in the knockout stages.
