Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig, subject to a successful work permit. The 23-year-old Hungarian international becomes the Reds' second signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrival of Fábio Carvalho from Fulham.

Szoboszlai is a highly-rated midfielder who has impressed with his performances for both RB Leipzig and the Hungarian national team. He is known for his excellent vision, passing range, and ability to score goals from midfield.

The Hungarian star made his debut for Liverpool in their opening game of the 2023/24 season, a 1-1 draw with Chelsea. He played the full 90 minutes and showed glimpses of his quality, creating several chances for his teammates.

Szoboszlai is a great addition to the Liverpool squad and is expected to play a key role for the Reds this season. He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of other Hungarian greats to have played for Liverpool, such as Ferenc Puskas and Imre Kiraly.
