Clifford Chance Elects Chris Davies as Global Tax, Pensions & Employment Head
Chris Davies, a specialist in the taxation of corporate and financing transactions, has been elected as the new Global Head of Tax, Pensions and Employment (TPE) at Clifford Chance.
Davies, who has a particular emphasis on structured finance and international taxation, was previously the firm's Global Head of Tax Pensions and Employment.
In his new role, Davies will be responsible for leading Clifford Chance's global TPE practice, which provides advice on a wide range of tax, pensions, and employment matters to clients around the world.
Davies has extensive experience in advising on complex cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and debt financings.
He has also advised on a number of high-profile tax disputes, including the landmark case of Vedanta Resources v. India, which was decided by the UK Supreme Court in 2010.
